Medical doctor and laboratory diagnostician, specialist in clinical laboratory genetics, doctor of medicine, head of the Department of Genetics at the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing. He has been studying the genetic and molecular determinants of diseases of the sensory organs and skinfor nearly 20 years. Hiscurrent leading area of interest is the genetic background of hearing loss, in exploring which he combines his expertise in human genetics, the latest DNA analysis techniques and develops new animal and cellular models enabling functional evaluation of the consequences of detected mutations in the human genome.

  • 2013 – habilitation degree in medical sciences in the field of medicine, 1st Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Warsaw

  • 2006 – laboratory diagnostician ‘ s license, National Chamber of Laboratory Diagnosticians, Warsaw, Poland
